Overview

Ledger ("the App") is a vehicle maintenance tracking app developed by Anthony Da Silva. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and your choices.

Data We Collect

We do not collect personal information. All vehicle and maintenance data you enter is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.

iCloud Sync

If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your private iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit. This data is encrypted and accessible only to you through your Apple ID. We have no access to your iCloud data. You can disable iCloud sync at any time in the App's settings.

In-App Purchases

Ledger offers optional Pro subscriptions (monthly, annual) and a lifetime purchase. All transactions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store any payment information.

Feedback

If you choose to send feedback through the App, the following is transmitted:

Feedback is sent to a Supabase edge function and forwarded to a private Discord channel. No personal identifiers (name, email, Apple ID) are included unless you voluntarily include them in your message.

Analytics & Tracking

Ledger uses TelemetryDeck, a privacy-first analytics service based in the EU, to collect anonymous usage signals (such as which features are used and general app navigation). TelemetryDeck does not collect personal data, device identifiers, or IP addresses. All user identifiers are double-hashed before transmission, making them impossible to trace back to individual users.

Ledger does not use advertising SDKs, fingerprinting, or cross-app tracking. No App Tracking Transparency prompt is required because no tracking occurs.

Photos & Receipts

Vehicle photos and maintenance receipt images are stored locally on your device (and in your iCloud account if sync is enabled). They are never uploaded to our servers.

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following services:

Data Retention

Your data lives on your device and in your iCloud account. Deleting the App removes all local data. To remove iCloud data, manage it through Settings > Apple ID > iCloud on your device.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
